Sri Suparyati is a Lawyer and consultant in the field of human rights. She is a civil society and Advocacy specialist at human rights field with more than 15 years of experience supporting effective advocacy at national and international level; research and investigation for some issues in conflict area. She holds a master’s degree in law from University of Hull, Graduate School of Law, United Kingdom. She took some trainings related with human rights issue. She took fellowship on transitional justice in South Africa in 2000, appearing at US Congress to deliver on human rights situasion in Indonesia, 2010. She served as deputy coordinator for KontraS (Commission for the Disappeared person and victims of violence), led the organization’s department tasked with monitoring and oversight of human rights cases e.q civil and political rights (torture, Enforced dissapereance, arbitrary detention etc), advocacy and campaign for human rights issue. She played a leading role in various legal advocacy establishing and running the commission of public information for the case of Munir, Citizen law suit for the case of Nunukan, Kalimantan and other strategic cases in Indonesia. She is the treasurer at Regional organization of AFAD (Asian Federation against Involuntary Disappearance) based in Philipine with more than 15 members in Asia. She had been council member of AFAD for 10 years.
